Working with light and vibration is central to preparing yourself for the future. Asking your body what color it needs is part of this.
I’ve used this fun and surprising visualization for years. It’s an energetic tool that cleanses, renews, fills and fortifies you, initiating a process of cellular regeneration and alignment. By relying on your body’s authority and bypassing your intellect, it helps clear the way for you to utilize your innate abilities and work deeply with light and vibration.
You will find that asking your body what color it needs will reinforce feelings and vibrations of peace for the whole day. It will help you connect with and appreciate your body as the universe it truly is.
Filling Your Body With Color
Take your awareness inside. Ask your body what color it needs. Listen.
Send the color you’ve received into each cell in your physical body. See if you can feel the color’s vibration. Visualize saturating every cell, organ, and part of your body. When you’ve filled your body, send the color out the soles of your feet into Mother Earth. Repeat the visualization until you feel filled. Enjoy!
Now, with your whole heart and intent, send vibrations of love, gratitude, and self-appreciation into every cell, saturating every part of your body. Include your blood, organs, and bones. Then send these vibrations of love, gratitude, and self-appreciation out the soles of your feet into Mother Earth. Feel the connection. Notice how your energy shifts.
As with other subtle energy practices, curiosity is your friend. When you ask your body for a color, it may give you one color or two; it may ask for the same every day, or change colors often. Once you have your color, play with it throughout the day. Notice its vibration; notice if particular colors bring you into alignment with someone or something outside you. Once you have the pattern down, use it intuitively as needed—sometimes daily, or sometimes when you simply need a boost of peaceful energy. There are no rules, except listening to your body as you ask what it needs.
Filling a particular place with color is a way to enliven, empower, and encourage the land to speak. That's a special gift because Western culture so intentionally ignores the land, dismisses the creatures, and believes the resources are ours to extract and profit from. [Spoiler alert: yes, this is a soapbox statement, and I'm getting really tired of greed and arrogance!]
So, using the practice you learned for your own body, apply it to a piece of land that needs energizing in this way:
Take your awareness inside, and then to the land you plan to work with. Ask the land what color it needs. Listen.
Send the color to the land, seeing it saturated. Let your attention float into each little nook, creek, rock, or vista you are familiar with, filling them all. Draw on your knoweldge of the land—geology, water, stones, plant and animal communities, to guide your travels. Listen for messages.
When you and the land feel complete, with your whole heart and intent, send love, gratitude, and self-appreciation to the land. Feel your connection. Notice what shifts.
